When is the best time to take pictures?

Depending on the time of year (and the lovely Spring Forward/Fall Back), 8-11 am and 2-6pm are usually the best times for the best lighting. It's best to avoid the high noon hours due to the harsh lighting.

What about picutres at night?

Night shoots are NOT recommended for young children as it requires them to hold still for 5-10 seconds. I would recommend a night shoot for Seniors or couples or families with tween or teen-age children.

What should I wear?

Well, that totally depends on you. You can keep it simple (think black, white, neutral colors) or bring some pop with bold colors. Here are some other suggestions:

  • Try to avoid clothing with logos, slogans, or other distractions (you don't want what you're wearing to take away from you).

  • Jewelry/accessories should be simple. Again, we don't want what you're wearing to take away from you.

  • If you're a family session, you do not need to wear the same shirt but try to stay within the same color scheme.

  • Avoid busy patterns.

These are just suggestions. The most important thing is to wear what makes you feel comfortable and what looks good on you.
